If you purchase an Orca device and have an existing Orca subscription, the included 1-year Smart Navigation subscription from the device purchase will be added as an extension to your existing subscription cycle.
For example, if you purchase an Orca Plus subscription on 1st of May 2024 and then an Orca Core on 1st of July 2024, your next subscription billing date will be the 1st of May 2026 .
To activate your included year of subscription, you can go to Main Menu > Settings > Account Details and follow the steps presented.
You will need to verify your credit card details upon activation, but you will not be charged upon activation of the free year of subscription.
If you have subscribed via Google Play or Apple App Store, you must cancel your subscription from those stores before activating the free year.
The free year of subscription is linked to the email address you used to purchase your Orca hardware.
If you already have an Orca account with an email address which is different to the one you used to purchase your hardware, you can transfer your purchase to your existing account by following the steps set out in this article: How can I transfer my Core 2 or Display 2 purchase to a different email address?
Can I get more than one year of free subscription access when buying devices?
The subscription access included in a device purchase, such as an Orca Core or Orca Display, is limited to one year. Here is a scenario that illustrates the system:
You ordered an Orca Display 2 on January 1st, 2025, which gave you a free year of subscription.
You later bought an Orca Core on April 1st, 2025
Your subscription would then renew April 1st 2026, a year after your Core order
Are there any time limitations for when I activate my subscription?
If your account does not have an ongoing free year of subscription, there is no time limit for when you can activate your inclusive subscription. It means you can order Orca, fit Orca to your boat, and activate the free year once you are ready to hit the water. If your account does have an ongoing free year of subscription, you must wait until the end of this year before activating the new free year.
