Orca supports Automatic Rerouting, a system that automatically updates your route as you navigate along it. Automatic Rerouting is available for Engine Routes and Sail Routes. Manual Routes do not support rerouting.
Automatic Rerouting requires an active Smart Navigation subscription.
How does Automatic Rerouting work?
For Sail Routes, Orca will monitor your sailing progress and update the route when it detects that you have deviated from your path, that the weather forecast has changed, or when you tack and gybe. Tack and gybe detection requires an Orca Core.

What happens if Orca finds a significantly different new route?
Orca will prompt you to accept a new route if it differs greatly from the previous route. The notification will appear on the top of the screen and can be dismissed.
How does Automatic Rerouting affect my Autopilot?
For Engine Routes: If you engage Navigation Mode on your autopilot, the autopilot will receive your initial route, and only receive route updates when you accept a significant route change from Orca. If you activate your autopilot while following an Engine Route with Automatic Rerouting, the autopilot will take you back to the initial route.
For Sail Routes: Your autopilot will receive a new route whenever rerouting is activated. We strongly recommend not using Navigation Mode while sailing or when using Sail Routes with Automatic Rerouting.
How do I enable or disable Automatic Rerouting?
Automatic Rerouting is controlled via the Control Center. You can open the Control Center by pressing the round button in the top right corner of the chart.
How do I manually adjust my route while navigating?
To manually adjust your active route, open the Control Center by pressing the round button in the top right corner of the chart and select Edit Route.
How do I clear or delete the route I am navigation?
To clear or delete your active route, open the Control Center by pressing the round button in the top right corner of the chart and select Clear Route.
