I have acquired a second hand Orca Core and can't connect to it. What should I do?

If you have purchased a boat with an Orca Core that has been used by the previous owner, or you have purchased a second hand Orca Core that is still connected to the previous owner's account, you should do the following:

a) Ask the previous owner to remove the Core from their account. This can be done via Main Menu > My Boat > Unpair Orca Core.

  • The previous owner must ensure they are selecting the correct Core to unpair from by clicking on 'Manage Boats' if multiple boat profiles are associated with their Orca account

  • They can unpair their account from the Core without being connected to it

b) If the previous owner is having issues unpairing their Core, please ask them to contact Orca support at hello@getorca.com from their account email. They will need to explicitly request to speak to our human team and will have to authorise Orca to remove the Core from their account.
